Artist Contract
This contract is designed to help you understand your rights and responsibilities as well as answer your questions regarding Stop4art.com's role.
Terms and conditions
This contract is between Stop4art.com and the artist. The artist has read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions:
Art Media Acceptance:
Artist can exhibit his or her original artwork regardless of the medium used to create it. All media is welcome and will receive an equal consideration.
Art Context and Acceptance:
Stop4art.com reserves the right to decide on the appropriateness of the materials submitted. Some materials and content may not be suitable for display. Stop4art.com is not obligated to notify an applicant in case of rejection.
Payments/Fees/Commissions:
Basic Subscription (40 images, FREE)
Stop4art.com Responsibilities:
- Upon admission, Stop4art.com is responsible for providing a virtual showroom space for artist's works, up to 40 pieces.
- Stop4art.com will display artist's works for as long as artist desires or for a minimum of 1 month.
- Stop4art.com is NOT responsible for selling or shipping of the artist's works. Interested buyers will contact the artist directly via e-mail to arrange purchase and delivery.
- Stop4art.com does NOT guarantee that the art will sell.
- Stop4art.com is NOT responsible in case of unlawful printing, downloading, reproduction or distribution of artwork.
Artist's Responsibilities:
- The artist is responsible for providing his or her full name and contact information (e-mail, phone number, address).
- The artist is responsible for providing up to 40 pieces of artwork for display and a brief biographical statement as well as art titles, dimensions, mediums and prices.
- The artist is responsible for complying with admittance requirements (see admittance requirements for more information) in order to be admitted to Stop4art.com.
- Once the art pieces are admitted to the site, the artist is required to exhibit with Stop4art.com for a minimum time of 1 month. A request to remove artwork can be made any time thereafter.
- The artist is solely responsible for selling and shipping of his or her art. Interested buyers will contact the artist directly via e-mail to arrange purchase and delivery.
- The artist is responsible for notifying Stop4art.com in a timely manner if the piece has been sold in order to make an appropriate update.
- The artist is responsible for scanning his or her artwork.
Contract Changes:
The terms and conditions of this contract are subject to change. Stop4art.com will notify the artist via e-mail of any changes in the terms and conditions. Following the notification, the artist is required to carefully review and accept the new contract. We recommend that the artist keeps a copy of the contract for his or her records.
Contract Termination:
Stop4art.com reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time with or without cause. The artist will be notified via e-mail. The artwork will be removed within 1 week of notification. The artist may terminate the contract for any reason (after initial 1 month) by notifying Stop4art.com via e-mail in which case Stop4art.com will remove the artist's artwork from the Stop4art.com web site within 1 week.
Admittance Requirements:
The artist needs to provide the following:
- Contact information: artist's full name, e-mail, phone number, address and category
- Bio: a brief biographical statement and photo of the artist (photo is optional)
- Quantity: up to 40 pieces. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS
- Artwork info: art title, price (US Dollars $), size, weight (optional), category, medium, style, edition, artwork description
- File format: jpg only.
- Image size: 640x480 pixels, landscape or portrait (image size may need to be resized)
- Image quality: blurry, dark, badly cropped images will not be accepted
NOTE: No original artwork will be stored or scanned at Stop4art.com at any time. Stop4art.com does not provide a scanning service.
